Status of foreign nationals in Algerian Territory

Enter Foreign nationals may enter Algerian territory legally through designated border points specified by law: via land at recognized border crossings, by sea through ports that accommodate foreign civilian vessels, and by air through airports that handle international flights. Entry at non-designated points due to exceptional circumstances such as an emergency landing or for asylum requires the foreign national to immediately present themselves to the nearest security authority or border center to facilitate the requisite procedures. Unauthorized entry is considered irregular and subject to legal sanctions.
