Abstract

Effective pandemic and outbreak management requires a strong and responsive legal framework in order to take immediate and responsible actions and protect human rights. Legal considerations play an integral part in setting public health emergency policies, allocating resources fairly and fostering international cooperation. Rapid adaptation to emergency situations and the creation of new regulations is necessary in overcoming challenges faced by global pandemics; international cooperation relies heavily on an efficient legal environment which facilitates exchanges of information and resources - ultimately law is central in this arena of management as it ensures compliance and protects public health emergency policies as well as ensure effective and sustainable outbreak control measures.
