Abstract

This research paper aims to provide an analysis of the phenomenon of digital transformation within organizations by clarifying its concept, strategic importance, and the determinants of maturity on which it is based. It also examines the risks that may lead to the failure of digital transformation projects, with a particular focus on the reality of Algerian institutions. The study adopts a descriptive analytical approach based on a review of recent literature as well as national and international reports related to digitization, in order to assess the readiness of organizations organizationally, technically, and humanly to adapt to the requirements of digital transformation. The results indicate that digital transformation is not merely the adoption of modern technologies; rather, it represents a shift in business models and the way value is delivered to users. It requires an agile organizational environment, advanced information infrastructure, and a workforce equipped with strong digital skills.
